Jack’s work for television has won him five BAFTAs and an RTS Television Award.

In 2022 Jack was the recipient of both the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award for Outstanding Contribution to Writing, and the Royal Television Society’s award for Outstanding Contribution to British Television. Jack is a patron of Graeae Theatre Company which champions the representation of the disabled community on stage, an associate artist of The Old Vic, and recently launched the pressure group Underlying Health Conditions to champion disabled representation in the TV industry.

Laurie is an established musical director, pianist and music copyist across the West End and beyond.

His projects have included A Christmas Carol (Old Vic), Groundhog Day (London and Broadway), Ghost The Musical (London, Broadway, Korea, UK Tour), A Pleasure’s Progress (Royal Opera House), A Tender Thing (RSC), The Lord Of The Rings (Drury Lane), Carousel (Savoy), The Pirates Of Penzance (Savoy), Lend Me A Tenor and The King & I. He has been on the television in Genius, I’d Do Anything and Your Country Needs You, and was the orchestral conductor for the score of the 2014 movie, Pride. He is also a guest teacher at London colleges including Royal College Of Music, Mountview, LSMT and Italia Conti.

Some further credits as a keyboard player/audition pianist include: Book Of Mormon, Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, Love Never Dies, Mary Poppins, Oliver!, Scrooge, Singin’ In The Rain, Top Hat, Wicked (all West End); The Color Purple (Chocolate Factory) and High Society (UK tour).

Laurie has been involved with Matilda The Musical at the RSC, from its initial workshops through productions at Stratford, Broadway, Australia and the UK tour. Peter is a musical director, composer, and voice teacher. Musical Director credits include Australian and international productions of: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (MD), Jagged Little Pill (Australasian Musical Supervisor/MD), School Of Rock (Vocal Coach/AMD) Matilda The Musical, Beyond Desire, A Little Touch Of Chaos, On The 20th Century, A Little Night Music, My Fair Lady, Little Women, The Hatpin, LoveBites, Sing On Through Tomorrow, Annie (AMD), Cats (AMD), Jekyll & Hyde (AMD), The Music Of Andrew Lloyd Webber (AMD), amongst others.

He co-wrote The Hatpin, LoveBites and A Little Touch Of Chaos with James Millar and Dangerous with Jayde Kirchert. His shows have been produced across Australia, New York, London and many other cities in the world to critical and award-winning acclaim. He was twice the fortunate recipient of the Jeanne Pratt Artist in Residence at Monash University. He is also the Voice Consultant for Hamilton in Australia and now the International Tour and also voice coaches other shows including & Juliet, West Side Story, Miss Saigon and School of Rock.

He is also a Lecturer in the Music Theatre department at the Victorian College of the Arts at The University Of Melbourne.

David Spencer

Over his professional career, David has been involved in all facets of the performing arts, but more recently as a performer and director.

As an assistant and resident director, David has worked on productions including Into the Woods (Stuart Maunder / Vic Opera), Anything Goes (Dean Bryant/ GFO / Opera Australia), Funny Girl and Jesus Christ Superstar (Gale Edwards / The Production Company), and Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical (Simon Phillips / Michael Cassel Group and RGM).

He has performed in numerous musicals including Fiddler on the Roof, Eureka, Mame, The Pajama Game, The Producers, Pippin, [title of show], Flowerchildren – the story of the Mamas and the Papas, Mary Poppins and Priscilla Queen of the Desert (understudy to Tony Sheldon). He has also worked in the UK where he performed in Chicago, Copacabana, Carousel and Lust.

More recently David appeared in the Australian production of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

Sophie Woodward

Sophie is a Melbourne-based set and costume designer. Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of Production (Design) from VCA in 2010 winning the Beleura John Tallis Design Award in her final year.

Sophie recently designed costumes for Death of a Salesman (GWB Entertainment and Red Line Productions) and Come Rain or Come Shine (Melbourne Theatre Company). Recent set and costume designs include Monument (Red Stitch Actors Theatre) and Unprecedented (HotHouse Theatre).

Hugh Hamilton has been Associate Lighting Designer on Phantom of the Opera in 2022, Jagged Little Pill, Come from Away, Billy Elliot, Jersey Boys,, My Fair Lady (Opera Australia), Wicked (Korean Language), The King and I, The Addams Family Musical, Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages and Guys and Dolls.

Hugh has also designed, amongst others, Miracle City, Sideshow (Hayes), One Billion Beats (CAC), Ladies Day (Griffin), I am My Own Wife Tour (Oriel), Eora Crossing, On the Case (Legs On the Wall), HMS Pinafore (Bel Rosa Opera Company), Freefall (Sydney Dance Company), Del Del (Sydney Theatre Company), and Ursula (Brink Productions), as well as designing shows for dance companies, events and the site lighting for Opera Australia’s Turandot, Carmen and La Boheme.

Jan is delighted to be a part of the A Christmas Carol family once more after his role as Swing/Dance Captain in 2022.

Some of Jan’s theatre credits include Muriel’s Wedding The Musical (Dance Captain), Dream Lover, Singin’ In The Rain, Mary Poppins (NZ), Anything Goes, The Producers and Sweet Charity (Dance Captain) for the Palace Theatre (USA), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Promises Promises, The Boy From Oz, Music Man, The Mikado, and Pirates Of Penzance.

Jan is an educator and theatre director/choreographer with Patrick School of the Arts in Melbourne.

He is also an early-career playwright and now a Doctor of Philosophy candidate (Performing Arts) where his writing and research is supported by a Griffith University HDR Candidate Scholarship.
